For the past 14 years Janna has worked structuring, negotiating and drafting deals within the media industry. Nine of these years were spent in the UK at BBC Studios and later The Story Lab (a dentsu company) where Janna cut her teeth on the possibilities of content monetization, brand funded programming and distribution. Prior to this Janna worked at Eyeworks NZ (now Warner Bros) gaining a crucial base experience in format sales, content commissioning and production.
In her current role as V.P. Partnerships, Janna is outward focused, targeted with business growth such as facilitating new global creative ventures, introducing new digital capabilities and diversifying NHNZ Worldwide’s revenue opportunities through both new projects and via leveraging existing NHNZ Worldwide assets. Within the ever-changing media landscape Janna’s day to day can include anything from developing technical innovation through product offerings like FAST and Virtual Reality, to off air opportunities via socials/YouTube, advising on brand and/or governmental funding opportunities, as well as guidance on cost saving efficiencies such as the current company-wide integration of AI.
