NHNZ Worldwide has production and development staff based in Los Angeles and New Zealand, along with a global network of production partners.  The company has most recently completed projects for Discovery UK, NatGeo Wild, PBS, Love Nature, Arté, TVNZ, Sky Originals and National Geographic.​

NHNZ was founded 46 years ago as the Natural History Unit of Television New Zealand but spent most of its life owned by Fox Studios.  Three years ago, the company was bought by Dame Julie Christie who was the founder of international entertainment format producer Touchdown Productions. Julie was made a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2017 for Services to Governance and Television.
